A VIDEO released in 2010 showed how brutal and racist the town and police of Springfield, Mass can be. Travel to or through this town at your own risk. If you live in Springfield, keep a video camera and/or cell phone camera at the ready at
all times.
A traffic stop for a dragging muffler by these thug cops turned into a nightmare for Melvin Jones III.
He was beaten with a chrome flashlight and
ended up in the hospital with severe injuries. His attacker, former cop Jeffrey M. Asher, a white police officer with a history of brutality and racism was allowed to terrorize Black citizens until he was finally caught on video tape by a citizen with other officers beating the victim. The video clearly showed that the cops made up a story, filed a false report and possibly made up charges against the victim. How many others have they done this to, who will be next?
Jeffrey M. Asher was finally convicted of the brutal beating. He was sentenced in March 2012 to only 18 months in prison.
We do not know at this time what has happened to those cops who were his co-conspirators in the case nor have we obtained their names and photos. If you have this information please post it or send to watchacop@gmail.com.
Be advised to be extremely cautious while living in, passing through or visiting Springfield, Mass.
